🤝 How It Works

n00nemail P2P connects buyers and sellers within Telegram. When a trade is initiated, an APDS contract is automatically generated. The seller's crypto is locked in a smart contract escrow on the TON blockchain. Once the buyer confirms fiat payment, the smart contract releases the crypto to the buyer. Both parties rate each other, building an on-chain trust score.

⚖ Legal Context

Peer-to-peer cryptocurrency trading is generally legal in most jurisdictions. In the United States, there is no explicit federal ban on P2P crypto trading, though the IRS requires capital gains reporting. The SEC significantly relaxed enforcement against crypto firms in 2025, and the Trump administration's Executive Order 14178 (January 2025) positioned the US as the "crypto capital of the world." In the EU, the MiCA regulation governs crypto-asset service providers while individual P2P transactions remain generally permitted. n00nemail does not custody user funds and does not act as a money transmitter. 🇺🇸 US Federal: ESIGN Act (2000)

The Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act, codified at 15 U.S.C. § 7001, establishes that electronic signatures and records carry the same legal weight as traditional handwritten signatures. Four requirements must be met: intent to sign, consent to do business electronically, association of the signature with the record, and proper record retention. APDS contracts satisfy all four requirements by design.

🏛 US State: UETA (1999)

The Uniform Electronic Transactions Act has been adopted by 47 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands. New York has its own Electronic Signature and Records Act (ESRA). Notably, Arizona has amended its UETA (§ 44-7061) to explicitly recognize blockchain-based electronic signatures, and similar legislation exists in Nevada and Tennessee.

🇪🇺 EU: eIDAS Regulation (2014)

Regulation (EU) No 910/2014 defines three levels of electronic signatures: simple, advanced, and qualified. Under Article 25(2), a qualified electronic signature carries the same legal effect as a handwritten signature across all EU member states. Blockchain-anchored timestamps qualify as electronic timestamps with legal presumption of accuracy under eIDAS.

🆕 EU: eIDAS 2.0 (2024)

Regulation (EU) 2024/1183, published April 30, 2024, expands the framework to include EU Digital Identity Wallets (EUDI Wallets), electronic ledgers, and electronic attestation of attributes. By December 2026, all 27 member states must provide EUDI Wallets. The regulation explicitly includes electronic ledgers (blockchains) as recognized trust services.

🔒 GDPR & Email Privacy

The General Data Protection Regulation classifies email addresses as personal data. n00nemail is designed with GDPR principles: minimal data collection (we store only your Telegram chat ID and email preferences), no ad tracking, no data mining, no sharing with third parties. 🔗 Blockchain as Evidence

Under the US Federal Rules of Evidence (FRE 901/902), digital evidence must be authenticated. n00nemail provides anonymous communication tools. Anonymity is a fundamental right — but it is not a shield for criminal activity. By activating a n00nemail address, you agree to the following terms, binding under the laws of your jurisdiction:

Prohibited activities. You shall not use n00nemail for: terrorism or incitement to violence; money laundering or financing of illegal activities; child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any form of child exploitation; fraud, identity theft, or impersonation of law enforcement; distribution of illegal substances; harassment, stalking, or threats; any activity prohibited by the laws of the country from which you access the service.

Jurisdiction & applicable law. By using n00nemail, you submit to the laws of your country of residence. Users in the United States are bound by US federal and state law. Users in the European Union are bound by EU regulations and the laws of their member state. Users in all other jurisdictions are bound by their applicable local laws. This acceptance is automatic upon creation of your email address.

Sole responsibility. n00nemail is a technology provider. We do not monitor, read, store, or analyze the content of your emails. We have no knowledge of how you use the service. As such, all legal responsibility for the use of the service lies exclusively with the user. n00nemail, its operators, developers, and affiliates are fully released and held harmless from any liability arising from user actions.

Cooperation with law enforcement. While we collect no user data by design, we reserve the right to cooperate with lawful court orders in any jurisdiction where we operate. If we are legally compelled and technically able to provide information, we will comply. Our zero-knowledge architecture means we typically have nothing to provide.

Termination. We reserve the right to terminate any email address at any time, without notice, if we have reason to believe it is being used for prohibited activities.
